Signature Dental
AFTERPAY PAYMENT OPTION

Ask about Afterpay once you know what the appointment involves

If you are weighing up when to book because of payment timing, you can ask Signature Dental about Afterpay after your dentist has explained the likely appointment, treatment and fee.

Afterpay is a separate provider. Approval, account terms, spending limits, fees and repayment conditions are determined by Afterpay and should be checked before treatment begins.

What Afterpay can and cannot decide

Afterpay may be relevant for selected dental costs when the fee and payment timing need to be considered together. It is not a dental diagnosis, treatment recommendation or approval from the clinic.

Your dentist first needs to assess what is happening and explain the care being discussed. From there, you can check whether Afterpay is available for the planned appointment and what provider terms apply.

Afterpay approval is determined by Afterpay, not Signature Dental.

A payment arrangement changes how fees may be paid. It does not change the treatment fee.

Clinical suitability is assessed separately from payment approval.

Spending limits, fees, repayment terms and account conditions should be checked before treatment begins.

PATIENT QUESTIONS

Questions worth answering before you use Afterpay

These questions help you understand whether Afterpay fits the planned care, rather than deciding from the payment option alone.

When should I ask about Afterpay?

Ask early if payment timing is part of your decision. The useful conversation usually happens after your dentist has assessed the concern and explained the likely fee.

Who decides whether I can use Afterpay?

Afterpay decides approval, spending limits, repayment terms and account conditions. Signature Dental can explain treatment details you may need, but the clinic does not approve the account.

Does Afterpay mean the treatment should go ahead?

No. Payment approval and clinical suitability are separate. Your dentist still needs to assess your teeth, gums, health history, treatment options, risks, limitations and alternatives.

Could there be an amount still payable by me?

Yes. Out-of-pocket costs may depend on the treatment fee, health fund rebate, Afterpay limits, account terms, additional appointments and any services not covered by the payment arrangement.

HOW IT FITS

A payment option should follow the clinical conversation

This order helps you compare Afterpay terms against the actual appointment or treatment being discussed.

01

Assessment first

Your dentist checks the concern, explains what has been found and discusses options that may be suitable.

02

Fee discussion

The likely appointment or treatment fee, limitations and timing can be explained before you decide whether Afterpay is relevant.

03

Provider check

If Afterpay is relevant, provider approval, spending limits, repayment terms, fees and account conditions need to be checked with Afterpay.

04

Decision with context

You can consider the dental plan, payment terms, health fund details and any out-of-pocket costs before treatment begins.
